eBucks monthly reminders

1. View the "track my rewards" tab on the app. FNB app -> eBucks -> Earn -> Track my rewards [500 points]

2. Set up at least 3 Smart budget categories and access your Smart budget every month [1000 points]. FNB app -> "Nav-igate life" -> "Nav>>Money" -> "Smart budget". (not applicable to Private Wealth clients)

3. Maintain a healthy credit score and access your Smart budget each month (not applicable to Private Wealth clients):

Light amber status: 1000 points
Light green status: 1500 points
Dark green status: 2000 points

4. (if you have kids) Have a transactional FNBy account OR grow your FNBy savings account balance [1000 points]:

Prem: R200
PC: R300
PW: R400

5. App transactions (app payments/transfers) [2000 points]:

Prem: 6 transactions
PC: 8 transactions
PW: 10 transactions

6. Have a minimum monthly deposit OR do at least 10 debit transactions per month:

Prem: R13500/10 transactions [2000 points]
PC: R32500/10 transactions [2500 points]
PW: R60000/10 transactions [3000 points]
RMB: R32500/10 transactions [3000 points]

"Qualifying debit transactions include cash withdrawals at ATM, Branch or Cash@Till™, cardless cash withdrawals, Debit card purchases, electronic and manual payments, eWallet and Money Transfer, internal and external debit orders, prepaid purchases (airtime, electricity and pay TV license) and LOTTO/Powerball purchases."

7. FNB Pay app payment (Tap to pay, Scan to Pay or Checkout) [500 points/1000 points with VCC]:

Prem: 2 transactions
PC: 3 transactions
PW: 4 transactions

Two easy options to achieve this. Either:

7.1 Buy airtime from Takealot and select Masterpass as the checkout method and scan the QR code using FNB Pay. Works via website only (not app)

OR

7.2 Donate to Gift of the Givers by scanning their Masterpass code and paying with FNB Pay: https://giftofthegivers.org/make-a-difference/donate-with-masterpass/

Option 7.2 is a bit easier and faster than option 7.1 (you don't have to add to cart and do the whole checkout process)

8. Streaming or online platforms:

Make a payment to any of the following platforms using your VCC:

Deezer, iTunes, Netflix, Spotify, YouTube, Showmax, SweepSouth, Audible, Google Play, Mr D Food, Uber OR Uber Eats, PlayStation, Xbox, Google, Bolt, Checkers Sixty60

2 to 3 streaming or online services [1500 points]
4+ streaming or online services [2000 points]

These are the ones I did this month. (Previous month's purchases might be cheaper):

What is the minimum SnackMe voucher amount on Mr D that I should get to earn that as a spend of Mr D, or is there no limit? Thinking of doing R20

I have my virtual card set to pay for the following each month;

1) Spotify
2) Netflix
3) Google play purchase
4) MrD or uber

But I always get only 2/4 instead of 4/4 for my streaming services points.

Am I doing something wrong?

All are made via my virtual card, i'm not sure whats going on.

I wasn't getting ebucks for Netflix, then I discovered this.
  • Up to 40% back in eBucks on your Video Streaming (Netflix) and Music Streaming (Spotify®) subscriptions when your family banks with FNB.

I think that might be a little different. He wants the eBucks reward points for using four streaming services, he might not be interested in getting the 40% back.

I had the same issue last month. 4 online services used but only 3 recognised. Contacted eBucks and they manually allocated some eBucks but my level still isn’t changed…it still shows me as Level 4 this month

I think eBucks as a rewards programme is great, but I always wonder why their systems are so mediocre. Surely the events that get points trigger immediately, why should it take so long for them to reflect on FNB? There seem to be quite a few cases of needing to contact eBucks to manually allocate points or amounts, surely everything is automated?

Yes they are.
Its strange because one month I did the exact same things and got 4/4 and the other month I did them and only got 2/4.

I think ill give them a call, it seems to be an issue on a few forums.

Using ebucks for international flights seems like a waste. Really struggling to spend these. Hopefully, the store fills up with some products before Black Friday time.

Just sell them... With Black Friday coming up I am sure you can try and get 12/13c an eBuck.
