Tips to Boost your eBucks - 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025

My understanding is that if you ever settle your bill you'll stop getting the reward.

If you go to the latest calculator, you can actually see that it asks for your exact installment and then calculates how much to reward you just as is done for clicks, engen, etc.
The wording is ambiguous. If you use your Fusion card and pay for it once off the following applies:
Your total purchase amount will be divided by 24, and you will earn eBucks on this amount, subject to the applicable earn limits in the table above and depending on your reward level.

I've always found it odd that Ts&Cs can have such a level of ambiguity, just look at the R69 credit facility fee confusion.

Let me know when someone has figured out how to make use of this device benefit. It sounds great in theory. It sucks that it's so vague, this is going to limit the uptake.

Is there any clarity on which devices qualify? I can't find anything specific in the Ts&Cs and don't want to be surprised.

In the Ts&Cs it says you won't receive the monthly eBucks if:
  • You have paid off the device if purchased on your FNB Private Clients Credit Card
It's somewhat ambiguous, would it apply if you pay it off early?
it works like a cap -
i.e on PW you get R24000

you can buy what ever you want from the istore up to the value of R24000 and you will get rebated R1000 a month for 24 months
you could buy 2 devices for R12000 each
or 1 device for 10k and another for R14k
you will be rebated based on the CAP used from the total amount available

Paying the interest charges for the 24 months (at whatever % you are currently charged on your credit card).

Not so sure of the overall benefit in my case - the rebate is in ebucks, so would need to substitute normal monthly cash spend to use ebucks. This would then likely reduce your future ebucks earn (if used to replace petrol or checkers spend, no other partner really covers normal monthly spend). Not really worth going through process of selling ebucks every month to get the cash.

If you are currently in the market for outright purchase of a device then this may make sense.

Sorry if its asked before, but what's the smart spend difference between Premier, Private Clients and Private Wealth?

Is that the only difference in terms of how much more ebucks you can earn between the different accounts?

Buy something on Takealot with eBucks....

for the new smart device benefit at iStore, will you still get the immediate 15% back for the iStore spend?

Not if you take it over two years as you already earn eBucks on the monthly premium. The 15% should only kick in on straight purchases where you don't select to pay it off.

Smart spend isn't the only difference. The caps increase as you go to higher levels ensuring you can earn more on your partner earn as well as the smart spend increases.

The various smart spend differences and cap differences are on https://www.ebucks.com/web/eBucks/earn/earn-from-the-bank-2024.jsp.

Smart spend:
  • Premier: 6000 eB
  • PC: 15000 eB
  • PW: 30000 eB
You can earn significantly more eB on the higher packages if you hit all the caps and smart spend thresholds.

so wanted to ask the Ebucks wizards here a question,

am on Aspire/Gold, and been meeting the boost my rewards benefit for about 10 months, so already qualify for the 1K shoe voucher,
BUT, if I hang on for another 2 months, get the OTHER voucher, for 1,5K voucher, OR a New Smartphone or Ebucks payout,
which is awesome, considering I do nothing to earn it, except do everything as per usual, on autopilot.

there isnt a lot of details about the OTHER voucher, what Smartphone can you get? Ebucks payout? how much?
or since its such a new benefit, they have yet to decide on exactly what they will be offering, and going to pull the rug from under us thinking we can get like a S24 fully paid off.
I mean they dont really say anything, and its not mentioned anywhere I have seen, even in the teeny tiny T and C's.

I mean if its something reasonable, like a pair of galaxy buds, or a fitness watch up to X value, that's great.
but here they leave it up to interpretation, FNB connect smartphone, what does that mean? up to what value?

Family and I are heading home after the hols this afternoon. Anyone willing to donate your Wimpy burger voucher to an empty-walleted dad?

Received my new Premier CC and my limit is a ridiculously low R7k, does anyone know how to increase the limit?
I've tried the "upgrade/increase credit limit" from the app but that just forces you to apply for a new product like Private CC.

You can try secure chat, but they will probably just give you a number to call. They are pretty useless TBH.

choose the Credit Limit Shift option, which should let you move a slider to the maximum available limit the bank has given you.

If that doesn't work, you will have to ask via secure chat / call
