Tips to Boost your eBucks - 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025

Anyone know if buying an iPhone from the FNB Partner iStore will include the iCare Plus package?

I see it comes for free with a purchase of a phone on the iStore site, but no mention is made on the FNB Partner iStore site.

Also interested. Asked in our local iStore a couple weeks back, they had no idea. Maybe worth checking with iStore head office?

Received my new Premier CC and my limit is a ridiculously low R7k, does anyone know how to increase the limit?
I've tried the "upgrade/increase credit limit" from the app but that just forces you to apply for a new product like Private CC.
What I got about that. But I still managed to do it on the app. It's just not intuitive and easy to explain here.

Just be careful, if they call you, they might charge you. I think I've seen mention of phone banking lol.1513958337.jpg

In general when the new month starts, on which day does the refreshed eBucks level kick in?

I want to order some Metal Cards… but want it to first reflect eBucks “Level 5” - so that I know we will get a rebate in eBucks for the Metal Card fees.

I assume there will be some delays this month with them updating eBucks etc. for the new year ahead.
eBucks level updated.. Level 5. Ordered a Metal card tonight for myself and then using the wife’s profile ordered one for her as well. Keen to see what they look like.

@Speedster

I saw you bought an M3 Air on the budget scheme, and am just wondering about buying something over the R24k threshold. So if it's like R30k, do you pay R6k up front and the other R24k goes onto budget or how does it work?

I'm going to replace my wife's 2017 Pro and tbf an M1 Air would do her, but I'm thinking of maximising the freebie limit so perhaps get a M3 and am just wondering how that would play out?

That's a good question. I assumed the full amount goes to budget but will need to confirm that once the move to budget has taken place. At the moment it's still under pending. Took delivery last night - it's a joy to work with coming from a 2016 i5.

Yeah, I'm on an M2 Air and am trying to figure a way to pass this to her and get the M3 for myself. But she's always going crazy about only getting my hand me downs (like the 2017 Pro she has) so I might have to just let this slide :p

They're fantastic little machines. And, on your original question, the M3 is only R2k over the limit so if the first month's payment is R2000 more it's not a train wreck.

Yep, that’s what I’m figuring and I reckon that’s the way I’ll go.

From what i understand, it will all be on the budget at 2%

BUT you will only get back the 100%/60% etc on the 24k

Aren't those useless since you are expected to use virtual cards?
Only place we use cards is for ATM deposits and Toll Gates, it’s a free metal card. So why not test it out.

Cardless cash deposit plus toll gates rolling out nfc payments. Physical cards likely not needed in the future but agree metal is way better than plastic
