TM LTE 2300MHz migration to 2600MHz band?

I hope someone from Telkom can give a definitive answer?

Once ICASA/DoC start provisioning spectrum in the 2.6GHz range, will Telkom be sticking to 2.3GHz for LTE or will Telkom be migrating their LTE network to the 2.6GHz band?

Why I ask is, if this is going to happen, I will look for hardware that supports both 2.3GHz LTE and 2.6GHz LTE.

Now just for an official answer.

I think you will find E-UTRA FDD bands 1 (2100MHz), 3 (1800MHz) and 7 (2600MHz) on every device, as these bands are selected for future global raoming.
The same for band 40 (2300MHz) Telkom is using, but not all devices support TDD. I don't think Telkom wil migrate from this band.

I don't see many Handsets themselves supporting 2.3GHz, so LTE for mobile might be a no go on TM....
Only the iPhone 5S to my knowledge supports TM LTE.

The cost to migrate from TDD 2300 to FDD 2600/1800 will be too great.

What TM might do is add a FDD layer in addition to the TDD layer. This would be a good move from them

Highly doubt Telkom Mobile will migrate to FDD 2600, it is costly and they won't pay for additional spectrum as already they have the 2300 maybe in the foreseeable future possibly but highly doubt it will happen overnight.

@SteveO spectrum cost money and it would be senseless move on their part to buy equipment, update base stations etc.
