Last week Tom’s Hardware had the opportunity to sit down with Gigabyte’s technical team in Taiwan and discuss motherboards

As much as im not fussy about mobo brands, i rarely believe stats when its conducted by the competition. An unbiased opinion would be more accurate imo and believable

I love Asus, most of my kit is asus, its not that I don't like gigabyte I just don't know them,

Asus quality is very good, I have never had an asus product fail on me... The warranties are great, 3 years on my mobo and Graphics, FTW. This means that the warranty will outlive the tech, I never keep a pc for more than say a year and a half...

Performance is also very good, and usually it is Asus who gets the most products out to market first especially I found with Graphics and mobos, ASUS also has a South African service and support office, yet again don't know about gigabyte...

Price is also good I will pay a few bucks more if it means I get 2 years extra warranty!

So Ill stick to asus thank you, the article I will take with a pinch of salt, coming from gigabyte it is the same as telkom saying neotel is crap just because telkom tested and found neotel is rubbish...

Even if the allegations are true I haven't had any problems...

Since when did anyone say gigabyte sucked?

I own an ASUS, I'm very happy.
My brother owns a gigabyte, he's very happy.

Each man to his own.

I'll wait for ASUS to respond before I make a decision on this.

I like Gigabyte and Asus :)

But this should be interesting to watch, in the end the consumer will be the one who benefits from the competition I think :D

I don't think anyone ever said Gigabyte sucks. I believe what was said on this board in the past is they don't overclock to the same levels as asus and dfi boards.

Not sure if its true or not since I have only used an asus board for overclocking.
