Funny how this thread has degenerated into exactly what it was poking fun at at the start.
u guys need to chill out. remember Monday is a holiday but we still have 3.5 days to go!
LMAO - joh joh joh - look, I was driving, friend waas driving...i beat friend in E46 323i...get over it, you sir...was not there OMG!
Paid around 6k for 8 kw! LUCKY ME!
LOL I won't be crying for me gearbox matie!!!I'll happily call AA to tow my baby just to get ANOTHER gearbox...and the cycle repeats again! The irony!
True...you cannot snap change a De Dion axle...cos the gearbox at the back thing kinda don't work for racing straight line requiring snap changes...plus worst still the coupling are made of...wait for it...wait a little longer...RUBBER!However MR grandmaster, newer models are quite happy to snap change, in fact they "come alive when we snap a 156 V6" *alfa emotional talk-don't you just love it?
*
LOL - yep as the great de Viliers said...Alfa gearboxes are not meant for Turbo applications, thus he chagnes them to M3 boxes, also moves it closer to the front - dude WHO ARE YOU kidding?:sik:Heard it all before, seen it all before, drove it all before...oh and M3 is one of my favourites, just LIKE loud sounding 2.0 TS *stands for twinspark - apparently I didn't know* Alfa's...
Now, go do yourself a favour and either get back to work, or cry in your little cornertjie! Shap my outie!

Agreed singh...can't understand this Grandmaster just can't except that the 323i was beaten by a 118kw moddest 147???Beyond me!
Anyway...
these are the exact reason i wrote this thread...guys get out of hand when they hear APPARENTLY insane stories of this sort, so they revert to making the other sound bad...sorry Super Grandmaster...but I am telling the truth though..you can come out of the cornertjie now...*pats JK8 on the back*
Take a video next time, to prove it.
I also think you have alot more to learn about Alfas, change your name, you dont deserve it yet.
A video? - lol nope my word is good enough
LOL - I desrve my name dude...been laying under Alfa's since I was 5...
Had 5 Alfa's in my name from age 18, dad had about 9 in his lifetime
have my OWN alfaclub in MP with 23 members strong
soon going to start our own alfa forum, I'd love it if you were Our first subscriber!!!
LOL
He started it!![]()
Ok lets use Dolbys way of doing things...
323 E46... 0 - 100 ___ 7.1s (claimed)
Alfa 147? Who cares...
So you telling US that your car is faster 0 - 100 than 7.1s and you still managed to keep up with a 6 pot BM in third gear with a 4 cylinder Alfa???
Dude....
Wait - an E46 323 is 7.1 seconds ... ? Where did you get that?
At least Dolby's way is getting interntaional and local magazine tests at both reef and coast - as well as testing them out hiself ...
My RunX RSI is marginally quicker than an E46 325ci at reef.
And just FYI the one thing I've learnt, is that a Ford / Alfa / VW owner is *always* a better a driver than *any* jouranlist out there. It doesn't matter if they race for a living or have been testing performance cars for 20 years, the owner willl outdo them ... because he knows how to launch his own car *cough*

CAR can achieve a 8 seconds? No stress ... an owner will get it at 7 seconds ...
I do however not get the 140 odd kw's claimed by the RSi...hhhhmmm *start something*
ok now thats taking it a bit too far Dolby![]()
Nah - for once since you've been on the forum, I'm agreeing with youIt's not 141kw.
Still the quickest N/A 1,8 I've come across - with only the R-Line 1.8 coming close ... (incase JK8 steps in)
Really?
What and where do you put the RSI inline with? What type of car, performance wise?
Guess you don't actually know your cars as well as you thought ...I think anyone that knows a little bit about cars will tell you it's possible.
i'm just yanking your chain! Besides, maybe the BM needed a service or he was not racing you![]()

hehe
I think I just want to defend the car because it's actually not a bad car and it seems everyone hates it. The performance is not the 141kw as claimed, but it's decent enough and runs pretty closely to other 'hot' hatches like the Fiesta ST.
I'll stop now ...![]()
LOL - dude you just HAVE to agree with me...point is, we don't come on this forum to get comeradery!!!If you disagree do so, take it like a man...
Quickest N/A imho is 145 2.0 Quadrifoglio!!!
Listen to this...and it will probably offend JK8 again...
145 killed a GTi on way back from Easter Drags in "Woecster" *how do you spell that place's name?* and all the way through the mountains the poor G4GTi couldn't gt passed...shame![]()
Anyway...Ford Fiesta ST? I killed it from 1st to 3rd...JK8 will fall over when he reads this
