To Cell-C

Please post the status of your network on your website. Similar to what Google does for all its applications.

It would help all us a great deal.

For example in Umhlanga yesterday there was frequent disconnects on your 5 GB/month modem connection. I installed Win XP SP3 and the problem has been solved. But, I am still not sure whether it was my intervention or there was a network problem that had been attended to.

Also, the transparency would help your company to be more accountable to us customers.

Please consider this request.

Hi Stochos,

There was a network issue over the past several days that I had addressed in another thread. Disconnect issues was one of the symptoms. The problem has been addressed and your speed and connection stability should be back to normal.

As to updates via web site we are in discussion with the Technology Group on how best to do this for our customers, either via Map updates or simple text info updates and how and when. I think it is a key way of messaging to our customers and keeps them up to date on the state of the whole network. I promise I will make something to address this happen very quickly

Regards
Ron

Uh Ron. Please stop posting this if disconnects are still happening. Just like you ask us to read other posts, I ask you to read our other posts. The situation is exactly the same! No change.

Thanks Ron

It is very gratifying to see you on the forum and engaging with your users. This is a great leap for South Africa—we are not used to this level of transparency.

Also Cell-C's price-to-value is exceptional. Please keep it up.

Just browsing this forum and came across this post - any update Ronbo4GS ?

It is a good idea - it would help to know if there are network issues when supporting customers using Cell-C

Hey Ron, whats happening over there? "Rather quickly" has turned into two months of waiting :( Hows about there is a collective push to get this launched before tinkering with 42Mbps launches?

[Who needs 42Mbps with a 5GB cap is beyond me, but thats hardly CellC fault)
