to share in Internet in Lan with dlink router 500G

Hello, I am from Brazil and sorry about my poor english.
I want to do avaliable the connection of internet for all pc's of my lan, but with out any software, just connect a router in switch.
I have a DSL Router DLink 500G and a switch encore ENH 924-AUT.

Anyone know how do this?

Hi there

I have a Telkom Router Pots which I think is a Dax or Oss-services brand. It is connected to the switch to which all our PCs are connected to.

To have all the machines on the LAN work I did the following.
1. Setup the Router ( as prescribed )
2. Setup the Default Gateway on the PC to the Ethernet interface/port IP address of the Router.
3. Setup the Primary and/or Secondary DNS IP addresses used on the ISP

Thats it. Hope it works for you.

Dear Sassaki,

All you need to do is, to assign a IP address to the DSL-500G that is the same as the IP range on your PC's network. That IP address assigned to the DSL-500G is going to become the Default Gateway on all of your PC's, and all the PC's as well as the DSL-500G can be attached or connected to one central switch.

hi sassaki,

the way i would do it is:

1. configure the dsl-500gs dhcp services. i think it is already configured and enabled out of the box. not sure. rtfm as they say.

2. configure each of the computers connected to the switch to obtain ip address automatically.

don't forget to connect dsl-500g to the switch.

I got a DSL 500G connected to my swtich simple 8 port switch and never had a problem
worked first time no setup neccorey
all u do is config the router so that the router connects to the net
connect the router to the switch from switch to computer then setup ur network on ur box as easy as that
