To stay with Iburst or not.

I am currently on a Iburst 10gig contract that is due for renewal. I can cancel all and install adsl at a max of 2mb/s (Telkom max in my area) or I can go with Iburst uncapped. I need help deciding.

I live in Kraaifontein, Western Cape and would like to hear other peoples opinions and if there is a better provider out there

Iburst should be your last resort ,its most probably worse internet speed you can experience

Get adsl ,any area should have 4mps by now . Get the 2mps line and as telkomza to check your max speed.

I would suggest VOX telecom.

how happy are you with iburst? How far away is their antenna?

if it works, dont fix it, as your gonna jump into a whole new nest of vipers with telkom;

just check anybody here with their stories with telkom;

If you don't already have one, look at getting a iBurst 2Mbps "silver surfer" modem with your next contract.
You'll get roughly double the speeds you get on a standard 1Mbps modem (it's basically two 1Mbps modems in one box).

After further thaught I decide to go with adsl and get me a uncapped acc on month to month payments. Iburst wants 2 year contract.
Also I already own 2mbps modem but problem is Iburst 2 year contract and also uncapped throttled at 5gb per day
