I don't know much about the man, All i know is he's a fantastic business man, and a keen sence for money. I think if he became SA's president, he could turn SA into a Money Making Factory - Fantastic for SA!. Damn far better than having Zuma!.

He has invited Mbeki’s wife, Zanele, to join some of his business ventures through the Women’s Development Bank.

Sexwale has also spread his wings through the Batho Bonke share programme — the largest empowerment project of its kind that has roped in about 1.2 million previously disadvantaged people to become shareholders in Absa bank .

A number of ANC heavyweights own shares in Batho Bonke, and Mandela’s children are included in the scheme.

Doesn't all of that sound at least improper, if not corrupt? Strange how its just accepted.

Think Sexwale wouldn't be a bad option though, even if he is another Mbeki its certainly better than Zuma!

To be honest, ill level them out to be the same.
Thabos decent, another 4 years for him is good.
IMO.
No, Thabo is not even South African anymore. He spends less than 4 months in a year in South Africa - he has not got his finger on the pulse here, nor has he any idea what his cabinet is up to. Thabo Mbeki is a useless president who has no idea how to be anything but an ambassodor. He should, at most, be the minister of foreign affairs. I also do not think a 3rd term for any president is a good idea for progressive governance. Mbeki stagnated the South African government, and if anything, corruption flourished under his reign.

I would also like to respond to your previous comment:

JZ is an extremely stupid man. He can't work with money (clearly and obviously unlike Tokyo Sexwale), he can't grasp the concept of Sexually Transmitted Disease, he has no idea what paradoxical license means, and he has completely no concept of why the media should enjoy freedom of speech and press. Tokyo, I am sure, has at least some understanding that AIDS is not preventable through having a shower. Also, JZ hasn't even finished school and Tokyo has some business degree or something like that from a university.

So, if your dislike of a person is the definition of their intelligence, how much do you like yourself?

Tokyo is a good choice the only question is will he serve the country or himself...

How much time will Tokyo spend RUNNING the country? He has many buisnesses and I doubt he will resign from ANY of them. Where is the line... and will he use the presidency for buisness purposes.

Altho, Tokyo is the only credible candidate to date!

There are lots of questions to be answered should Tokyo decide to run, but I think as of right now, he is the best candidate, and the ANC lost out big time when he decided to go into commerce and industry rather than staying in politics, but of course he benefited to the tune of many Billions of Rands from the choice, so yeah.

Find it hard to believe that baas Tokyo is going to give up a lucrative business career for SA politics, a head of state salary and be lumped with internal ANC squabbles and power struggles.

Impartiality and conflict of interest are things that fail to register on the ANC radar.

There are no good options, no more Nelson Mandelas in waiting, just greedy piggies fighting for the most profitable position at the trough.
We are probably better off with pseudo baas Thabo.

You realise that another four years for Thabo would mean ignoring or changing the constitution right? After that happens how long before we have a Mugabe scenario?

So yeah - another four years = bad for SA.

bwana, you say that as if the ANC would not consider it, I wonder.
The constitution might be the holy grail of the new SA but certainly not immune to a few amendments.

Hopefully Thabo himself wouldn't consider it - iirc he's already outrightly rejected the idea.

Its one hell of a slippery slope.

Remember, we're taking about the ANC presidency here. There's no reason why Thabo cant remain the leader of the ANC and let someone else run the country.

Change the constitution so that Mbeki can be president for another four years vs. Zuma becoming president?

Tough call... :(

Yup, that he has. The calls to ammend the constituion are there though, and not all regarding the succession debate.
