Just guessing...but like 0.1? Plants don't grow fruit weekly...So I have a question. If you grew two decent tomato plants. How many good tomatoes would you get per week? Roughly of course.
Ja wohl. Two words. Meaning "Yes well", or "yes certainly" if translated with some flexibility.LOL > Jawohl.
Well the WW ones are the best I can find locally. Pretty sure they are GM but at least they aren't flippin green & bruised.
Please elaborate/link.Yes, for sauces, stews etc...
I call bullsht. Surely apples rank higher than those. If you take a look at what produce sells in SA the 3 highest sellers are potatoes, onions and tomatoes.
They do. Hell I had a pack of Ina Paarman {sp?} vegetable stock in my hand yesterday that specifically stated "contains GM food".As far as I am aware South Africa doesn't allow GM foods, might've changed in the last five years my dad's been out of the industry though.
I'd love to grow the kind of tomatoes that you get in the Mediterranean which are less juicy than what we normally get but really firm, fresh, meaty and full of flavour. I've seen plum and beefsteak-like varieties. I don't think I've seen any like them anywhere else and they are fantastic in salad.

I really like those oblong, deep red ones you find from time to time.
Yea the romas are quite nice
I usually have some of those, some cash crop and some cherry tomatoes (for salads and such) in my yard.
btw, nice place to get seeds online (I will be trying different varieties this year, as well as American Giant Pumpkins).

Pomodori?I really like those oblong, deep red ones you find from time to time.
Tomatoes from the store taste like water nowadays.I will be doing some outdoor this spring. All organic!I have been shoving all my grass clippings/dead leaves and branches into a corner of the yard to compost - there is now a sweet earthy smell coming from there.Time to dig up the beds and bury some of the new compost in!
