Inside the Circuit City in Rockville sits a stack of 100 PlayStation 3 gaming consoles. Outside the store, far more than 100 people are camped on the sidewalk -- the first person arrived Monday -- waiting to get their hands on one.

The PS3 -- Sony's response to Microsoft's year-old Xbox 360 -- goes on sale tomorrow morning, 48 hours before the Nintendo Wii also hits the shelves.

Yep, no wonder people are selling their PS3's on ebay for $3000+ ... and they don't even have it yet... :D

I have seen people posting on the net saying that they only received 8 PS3's.... 6 60Gig's and 2 20 Gigs. They had 20 people outside and that was on Wednesday.

The kicker is they are not allowed to tell the people outside that they are not getting one. Imagine camping for 3 days to get a kick in the face?

These folks are idiots.

there are only 5 exclusive games available for the thing, all of them suck bar 1 which is a generic quake clone shooter. All the other mediocre and good stuff is already available freely on the 360.

Now it's all well and good being a fanboy, or a greedy opportunist intent on selling the thing on EBay, but from a consumer perspective come on! Just wait a few months for supply to improve, by then at least it'll have some content.

You could buy an XBox 360 along with a few games now, then get the PS3 when Sony actually manages to make a decent number, and still spend less money.
