Hey all,

What do you recommend for converting *.avi, *.wmv etc into dvds? I have a lot of downloaded stuff (like the xmen cartoon series from the 90s, so yes its perfectly legal to download), but I want to make them into proper dvd's.

What would you recommend?

Thanks, cheers

You can also try WinAvi Video Converter - its really easy to use even a monkey could convert the file ;)

I am pretty sure that convertX automatically resizes (compresses, shrinks...) so the files fit on a 4.7DVD. Not sure, but I have never "overrun" the size.

Can anyone confirm this?

You can specify your output size DVD5 or DVD9

tx - i probably shouh have RTFM'ed!

Anyway, another excellent feature of this software, is that it does not hog my system - I barely know it is running while doing "normal" work. WinAVI killed my system speed (and did something unspeakable to my codecs - prob me being stupid, but nonetheless).
