Top 8 laptops available for purchase in South Africa

Laptops are becoming increasingly powerful every year thanks to the steady release of more power-efficient processor and GPU technologies.

Portable devices with great performance are also becoming cheaper due to the increased availability of solid state drives and the capabilities of modern chips.

That's a woeful effort MyBB.

This is substantially better value:

And the best value I've come across in SA:
https://www.wootware.co.za/wootware-gk5cp0z-intel-core-i7-9750h-2-60-ghz-hex-core-15-6-full-hd-1920x1080-144hz-nvidia-geforce-rtx-2060-6gb-gddr6-gaming-wootbook.html

The WootBook from Wootware is very customisable. For R25 255:

15.6" 1080p 144Hz display
i7-9750H
16GB memory
500GB NVMe storage
RTX 2060
62Wh battery
3 year local warranty

And even better value, for R28 285, you can get the same but with an RTX 2070 and 1TB NVMe storage. Rounding the price off at R30k gives 2TB NVMe storage.

That's excluding the optional Windows 10, which you can buy off Carbonite for R200-250.

Dell XPS 13 & 15 a big let down... Have sold 2 of each had to return them all due to over heating non-stop.

I like workhorse laptops that can take a beating. I won't buy the thinnest laptop on the market.

Spending 35 grand and ending up with Intel onboard graphics doesn't sound great, OP.

Went through the research process recently and that is by far the best option in SA, especially given the 9th gen CPU and RTX 20 series.
