Top games that don't have South African servers

Apex must please bring us local servers. Wow didn't know Escape from Tarkov had local servers. Will look into this,

If people Joburg is getting 160ms to London then why am I getting around 185ms from Durban?

Surely I should get 150 to 140ms?

We always want local servers for every game but given that our player base per game is probably less than 500 people I am not surprised that we don't get any.

since when does Halo have local servers ?
It had local servers since launch, there was even a thread on how to lock your search so that you only play on local servers, but they changed the ability in later updates, but there are local servers.

aah okay sucks I stopped playing because of the bad ping on infinity

KZN routes through Joburg and then to Cape Town for international servers in most cases, the lowest ping I get is around the high 160's to London (also in KZN).

You're gonna be playing PvE simulator/bush camping simulator on those servers, I stopped playing the game when they added the ping lock.
What's ping lock? Only playing with similar ping range?

Anything over 165ms and the server instantly kicks you which means pretty much only people in Cape Town could maybe connect to EU servers, everyone else is region locked to SA.

Sorry, newbie here, how can you check/find out what your "Ping speed" is?

Depends on which game/server/host/location. Ping/latency is between your device and the host.

Some games have it displayed in their respective server browser. Some games have a command you can run ingame. Some games have external sources/tools you can check. Some hosts you can ping directly in command prompt.

You can ping anything around the world, provided ICMP is enabled by the host. The further they are to you, the higher the ping/latency will be, with some caveats.

150 ping to London, in apex isn’t an issue for me.

Would be nice to pick up weapon first from a competed loot bin ( just make sure I’m solo on a loot path of drop) maybe win a few more boxing matches, but im definitely blaming ping for poor wingman shots.

It would be amazing for Overwatch and Valorant to get SA servers, or at least hostable servers like Team Fortress 2 has

I think Overwatch at least has ME servers. So latency is a little lower it seems.

Also, Overwatch seems unusually tolerant of high latency for some reason, or maybe it's just me. Then again, I guess few heroes really need pixel accuracy in that game.

I believe they both have ME servers
But with Overwatch on the ME servers the arcade game modes are dead
I block them just so i can find Mystery heroes and PVE matches
