Good day

Top Gear season 14 ep 1 is showing tonight on BBC 2 in the UK. Does anyone have a live streaming of the show?

I haven't even seen series 13 :(

And I have DSTV. When did it show. I must have missed it completely ... repeatedly.

In this instance yes.

You are attempting to obtain an item through illegal channels when it isn't available here.

Like why is it legal to tape it or PVR it but not legal to download and watch it?

I've set the recorder for it tonight. Not sure if I'll watch it tonight though. :D

In terms of SA law it's not piracy, as long as you don't distribute. You're allowed to download for personal use under the Copyright Act (I can quote you the relevant clause when I have some time available). Uploading on the other hand is questionable as it could constitute distribution (not sure whether it applies to partial uploads or complete uploads, as it's still a grey area).

Ever recorded something on PVR for personal use? Same principle. The fact that you get the content from Multichoice means very little. With the advent of the internet, the world has become a smaller place. One could subscribe to online tv channels and record content for viewing later. One can download it from their usenet provider for viewing later. Multichoice is merely just another distribution channel. It doesn't matter how you get it, but you get it, and in SA it's legal.
