Top programming languages in the world – February 2017

The more a language tutorial is searched, the more popular the language is assumed to be. The raw data comes from Google Trends.

Oh so because the brain-dumps are sitting in companies, using online tutorials and stackoverflow to try and do their job, because they have zero knowledge and even less of a brain for coding, ergo they bluffed their way into their current position... it means the language is popular?

That is a flawed stat right there.
