Top rated fixed broadband service in South Africa

The perceptions of users are wonderfully revealed:
The 10, 4, 2 and 1 Mbs ADSL customers have different figures for support, billing and latency

Lol, how did Neofibre get good "value for money" ratings? For a 10mbps you pay over R8000... a month.

This was the first MyBroadband survey which used a token system where only invited broadband users were allowed to complete the survey. This eliminated multiple responses from one person and ensured more accurate results.

Except for everyone who has more than one MyBB registration.

I remember doing this survey and the problem with this particular section was, i did not find any of the options as "alternatives" . I got a 4MB ADSL line, that's all i -can- have , there's no way to experience any of the other options unless you're lucky. (It's not like consumers can afford to go from 4MB ADSL to Neotel Fibre)

It's kinda like asking the cat what it thinks of the Cat Food it gets every day versus the super rare whale meat only found in Antarctica.

Lol, the survey didn't specify that it was for consumer services, only that it is broadband services. I also vaguely remember taking the survey and didn't have any issues with it, although we have ADSL backup lines currently which I didn't even mention as we havn't used them in over 2 years.

Inferno, you do get value for your R8200 per month :p if you look at what you get...
1. Extremely low contentions (below 10:1, currently around 2/3:1 meaning you get full speed all the time)
2. Excellent service (Enterprise help desk is always available, respond immediately to outages, arrive on site when they are supposed to and actually call you back in 30min when they say so)
3. Full synchronous speeds
4. Future upgradability to yazoo (currently 100Mbps for NeoBroadband) plus on the fly upgrades if you need it
5. No outages due to bad weather (Mostly, equipment can still be damaged via power circuit if not properly protected)

What would you pay for such an ADSL service? NOTHING because it doesn't exist :d

NeoBroadband is maybe not a service everyone can afford, but this was only one of the metrics and clearly not a deciding factor for everyone ;)
