No, you misunderstand. The myth is that because the climate has changed before, humans aren't responsible for the current change.

No I suggest you read it again carefully this time. It claims that the "climate's changed before" is a myth but admits right next to it the climate does react to whatever can change it.

It doesn't say that "the climate changed before so the current change is not man made" is a myth. It can't actually claim that because it's one of the very things being debated so to dismiss such a claim is to dismiss without proof.

"Every part of the Earth's climate system has continued warming since 1998, with 2015 shattering temperature records."
"Global temperature is still rising and 2010 was the hottest recorded."
So is it 2010 or 2015? :D

You mean like the one above? Funny how the earth starts warming up leading to CO2 emissions but the earth warming up is then attributed to CO2 emissions. :crylaugh: Then you also don't have any actual data as you weren't there to record the temperatures. The most you can infer is that it got warmer. The only data we have before 1978 is conveniently being left out.

So where is all this "data"? Oh yeah, it doesn't exist! All of it is based on theoretical models by people in front of a computer. In science they are the equivalent of pencil pushers. The real scientists collecting the real data are saying with consensus they aren't finding any of what climate alarmists have predicted.

I mean it's already happening.

I can't remember which coastal city it is in the US but I seem to think it was Florida somewhere, where they are building dykes and lifting the general area around the coastal Zone because the water is rising and set to flood the existing are in the next 10 years.

With literal effects like that I'm not sure how you can just deny it.

Even if global warming isn't the accurate cause for the climate change phenomenon the effect/result remains the same.

Simple, sea levels have been higher before and will probably be higher still. Changes nothing. Earth has been hotter and it has been colder. Seas will rise and seas will drop just give it enough time to observe it. Our lifetimes are too short.

Why am I not surprised xarog and swa are both climate change deniers.

That's just the crux of the matter. No one in the world can deny climate change, Global warming they can.

Massive difference and the reason it was changed to Climate change and not Global warming no more...

Anyone see the brief interview of a Scientist returning from the Antarctica this week in CT?

Well in the interview he said that the Antarctic recorded lower then normal temperatures this past winter. ....

Nope.

Both of the terms in question are used frequently in the scientific literature, because they refer to two different physical phenomena. As the name suggests, 'global warming' refers to the long-term trend of a rising average global temperature.

'Climate change', again as the name suggests, refers to the changes in the global climate which result from the increasing average global temperature. For example, changes in precipitation patterns, increased prevalence of droughts, heat waves, and other extreme weather, etc.
