Towers down once again

Not that this will really come as any surprise to iBurst customers but it seems parts of JHB is once again offline....

23:18 or so...
Randpark Ridge -- Down
Bryanston -- down
Kyalami -- Down
Morningside -- Down
Randburg -- Down
Olivedale -- Down

Interesting that these are the exact same towers that were affected by severe packet loss today ... something that was supposedly fixed before 13:00 today...

What are we going to bet these downed towers NEVER make it onto the fault notification page .... not that I think anyone would still even bother taking bets on this ...

Amazes me how Sentech manage to run JHB with less towers and less outages ....

Why I pay for this service is beyond me ... time to start fighting with lead in the gloves ....

Is it not backhaul related? since these towers link to each other through the backhual link
e.g: If Roodeport B/S is down Soweto will be down.
There is no redundacy links

Why I pay for this service is beyond me ... time to start fighting with lead in the gloves ....

One should worka pro-rata of when the system was down and pay them according to what they are providing him.

Broadband in SA is very unreliable! In the UK my 2mbps ADSL just worked. I didn't have any problems. Here it makes no difference what you choose....your going to have problems. Those problems become especially visible when you try play games with your connection. Every day brings new problems....some days I can play BF2 & WoW.....other days I can't, and sometimes I can't even check my mail!

This has been an absolute horrible month on iburst!!! And what's scary is that they have been doing this for well over a year now and it's not getting better.
