I must be really lucky then. Walked into a dealership last Tuesday to have a look, drove off in a corolla Cross hybrid 4 days later.

And see said backlog increase substantially with Prospecton being flooded and load of stock ruined.

There is literally no optional extras on this car, except colour choice, so production is greatly simplified and it’s basically “cookie cutter”. Beyond me why they can’t ramp up production as and when to meet demand. Wait times are insane. Surely one can’t be so desperate for a Toyota compact cross over. Walk into Vw/Renault/Nissan//Ford/Haval/etc and the list goes on, and drive off in the competitors car without waiting.

Its a Toyota and also the hybrid variants make it a great buy imo

They can keep it. 72kw out of a 1.8L does not do it for me.

Colleague ordered one in November I think it was - think they're being told May now.
Problem is, you place an order, pay a deposit, get told it'll take a month. Fine, you're OK with that. Then they tell you another month, then another, you've already paid the deposit so you keep waiting. Next thing you know it's been 6 months.
Part of the reason for buying a Toyota is availability - of parts, of dealerships, of stock. This is an odd one for them.

Well a whole lot of new ones are now under water in Durban and the factory flooded.
