I'd buy one in a heartbeat (if I could afford it).
We recently did a trip Cape - Pretoria - Cape in the new RAV. Most relaxing and comfortable long drive I've done in my life.
I imagine the Corolla Cross would be kind of like a "mini-me" RAV.
It's built on the same platform (TNGA) as the RAV4 but just one minor alteration - it has a torsion beam rear suspension. Given the weight of the 'Rolla as compared to the RAV4, I'm sure they'll ride almost identically to each other.

Also it's put together in South Africa (take that as you may) whereas the RAV4 is imported from Japan. I'd say the 'Rolla might be prone to more rattles than the RAV4 - But this is my speculation.

I'm just really happy to see Toyota really pushing the Hybrid!

It's our first steps towards PHEVs and then EVs.

Does NAAMSA still release the monthly sales figures for us plebs?
I used to enjoy looking at the PDF every month.

That Hybrid model is the exciting 1 to me

Is this seeing the trend also where the demo and models lists on gumtree etc are more expensive than buying from the dealership?

Any reason why the Hybrid has 30 odd KW less then the normal one?

You're going to cream your trousers if you do the same trip in a Kuga...

Same here...

I do miss the Kuga my wife had. It was such a thrill to drive; the closest thing you can get to a premium X3 without having to fork out the money.

Her RAV4 is dog reliable, but it's slow and hates to corner/swerve.

Interesting, pricewise it's competition for the Duster, but no oil-burner so the Duster gets the nod from me.
