I saw an FJ cruising around Cape Town yesterday. I didn't get a chance to see if it had local plates though.

Does anyone know if the FJ's are available in South Africa?

I just googled - it is pretty ugly ;)

Offtopic - I bought my last Toyota in 2006 and from now on, I'll be going to different makes. Toyota has always had a 'fun' car to drive (albeit they don't look fantastic) from the late 80's to mid-2000's with their RSI models.

Now before you all jump down my throat ;) I don't mean super quick, turbo'd with nitrous, M3 blowing material - but fun to drive and rev nevertheless.

They've had *nothing* since 2007 and don't intend anymore 'fun' cars :/

The competitor to the Hummer H3,plenty of them in Dubai
If its built like the Hiluxes, then it should make a good 4x4, Africa has thousands of Toyotas

They look pretty cool in the flesh. Chunky! Cool Surfmobeel.
