I have the above configuration. I tested it (at home) and it works.
Today I tried it at another site, and the Status screen gives a +- 70% signal strength. The status however doesn't go beyond "Connecting". (With a MF190 dongle it connects fine.)
The 3420 is set up to connect 3G only.
What I suspect is happening it that I'm using 2100 at home, and that the other site is running on 900. Does the Vodacom Huawei support 900 & 2100?
Can anyone give me an informed opinion on this? I think I'm connecting to CellID 6126x
