Hi
I have been using a Billion wireless DSL router for some time. Since the free upgrade of my line speed in Nov 2013 I have had endless problems with the ADSL dropping out (S/N ratio is shown as varying between 7db-12db on the router). Our exchange was recently upgraded to VDSL but that made little difference.
I was given a TP-Link 3420 wireless 3G router (3G download speeds of up to 8Mbps being obtained) which has a WAN port to connect to a DSL modem, allowing a 3G fail-over when DSL fails. I am tired of un-plugging cables and moving from 1 router to the other and switching off one of the wireless signals.
Can anyone help in guiding me on which router must have the DHCP switched off, if necessary, the settings, or setting the Billion as a bridge so that I can use all 7 (8-1) LAN ports ?
Thanks - Olddude
