TP-Link MR3420 and 3g modem

hi

This may seem like a silly question but i am looking at buying the TP-Link MR3420 router and i understand that you connect the 3G modem to the router but ... how do i then tell the 3G modem to "connect" to the service provider (8ta) that i used to do through the 8ta dashboard? :erm:
Previously i also used to use the traffic monitor and USSD console on the 8ta dashboard, i am assuming that i won't be able to use those anymore now that the modem is connected to the router?:erm:

No need to tell the MR3420 that the provider is 8ta.
As long as the Dial Number: is *99# and the APN: is "internet" (without the "" quotes), on the MR3420 3G settings page.
