Hey All,

I am having an interesting problem with my TP Link Routher (Model: TP-LINK TL-WR940N Wireless N300 Home Router).

Every week, on a Wednesday afternoon at around 15:00 I am losing the ability to connect to the wifi on my router. I can view the network, but simply cannot connect to it. Anything that was already connected to the wifi is also dropped at the same time. The only solution I have found is to switch off the router of a minute, and then switch it back on again, and then everything connects again no problem.

Have any of you experienced anything similar? Is there a simple solution to this?

It's not a train smash, but it does get annoying when you have to reset your router on a regular basis.

Many thanks in advance for any help you guys/gals can provide. :D

Yep, this happened to me. When it started dying more than once a day, even with firmware updates and whatnot, I flashed DD-WRT and that resolved the wifi hanging problem. I'm now stuck with an issue where my phone drops from the wifi if it maxes out the connection, but I can sort of live with that, as it only happens with phones.

Well luckily it's only once a week.... so far! ;)

I'm going to try another firmware update tonight, as I haven't done one since I got the router. I'm not really keen on flashing it just yet, but I will do it as a last ditch effort(which seems more likely the more I find out about others having the same issue)!
