Traffic lights to be converted to solar power

There are batteries for when not enough solar radiation is being absorbed...

But I worry about the panels being jacked. And of course it costs a bloody fortune, but I suppose they'd only find something else to spend our money on. At least this should help to keep traffic moving when the lights go out.

This is one of the few things solar might be good at in theory... Along with heating water. But generating large amounts of electrical current with solar is a prohibitively expensive pipe-dream.
