An Eastern Cape traffic official was fatally shot and disarmed in broad daylight on Wednesday, allegedly by four men who attacked a team doing vehicle checkpoints.

Her colleague was also robbed of his firearm.

Police spokesperson Col Priscilla Naidu said three officials were on duty in KwaDwesi, Gqeberha, on Wednesday morning when they were attacked at 10.40am.

“While the male official was standing on the road, one female was busy writing out a summons and the deceased female was seated in the driver’s seat busy with documentation when four males walked towards the (male) traffic official that was standing on the road. They pointed a firearm at him and disarmed him,” she said.

Criminals are not scared ... Son of a garden boy at least has body guards to protect him. He need to issue bodyguards to everyone in SA, then we'll be safe.
If CR and his band of comrades had to face the same crap as the public in respect of safety, electricity, water, health, education, roads etc South Africans would all be a lot better off.

Thats because criminals knows that the ANC does not value human life, hence they know that they will most likely get away with this. Neither the police or the politicians care enough about human life to do something about, one could argue neither does the ANC voter as well.

It is typically third world. Incompetent and deeply corrupt leaders (geriatrics?) sit in luxury, western style then there is a massive gap to the poor peasants who are thrown rhetoric and the odd crumb now and then but, crazily, keep the leadership in power.

It's understandable when it's just a robbery but in this case a life was lost, no idea why anyone would think it's the perfect time for such jokes.
...until someone close to them is affected. We don't even know the motive for the attack.

We know: it's for their firearms.

The ANC has given this country over to criminals and warlords, and it reflects clearly in every single law/amendment that is promulgated. These laws protect the rights of criminals, not the innocent. In the unlikely event that they are caught, they are clothed, housed, fed and can even vote, FFS.

Even police stations are being targeted, as we all know too well. If they cannot even protect themselves, HTF are they supposed to protect Joe Soap? Yet the ANC wants us to be totally reliant on them?

Contrary to what is written in our Constitution, Life means absolutely F-all in this country. And until this government wakes the **** up (or gets voted out), it will continue.

But joking about it is distasteful. Someone lost a family member and possibly a mother here.

Agreed sadly and I suspect that much of the problem is that much of the ANC regime "leadership" are themselves criminals along with the "leadership" of SAPS, including Cele. Set a thief to catch a thief ain't working too well.
