Hey there

I need some advice on configuring policies on my router to keep my house mates at bay from raping my bandwidth that I pay for and graciously share at no charge with them.

From what I can gather from wikipedia I need to set up policies to prioritise traffic based on either IP, MAC or Physical ports.

Thing is my router menu doesnt correlate to examples I have seen on the net. If someone could just elaborate on the labels I would be very thankful.

Here is a screenshot of the menu screen.

The "Physical LAN port" in Set-1 only gives me two options "eth0" and "Wireless(SSID1)" even though my router has 4 eth ports and wireless - does this mean I have to use the MAC addresses of each computer to setup non uniflow policies?

Also, how come I cant set the physical kb rate per lan port? The D-link router said in its user manual that one of its features is Precise Traffic Shaping - so what gives?

Help!
