Trail running noob. Wtf is the difference between Open Male and Veteran Male?

Open is probably a race open to all males, veteran would require x amount of previous races run as a requirement to enter.

Perhaps also age based, with Veteran being over 50/60 ? But yes also depends on the race

Normally do Park Run. This was a 6km trail run with KZN Trail Running. Results aren't out yet but looked at last year's and saw the categories.

More than likely age. In road running you used to get veteran and master. With V being 40+ and M being 50+. Not sure if these classifications still exist. It’s been a while...

If I recall. Veteran is at 40.
