Highway to heaven... or hell?
Highway to hell IMHO?

"There will be a high visibility of police that will assist and work with us,
Oh goody gum drops, this is as opposed to what we normally have to deal with ... nothing, apart from the odd Metro cop catching some ZZZZZs next to a speed trap (Operation Velocity ... that really stems the national road death toll)
Park and ride facilities in Pretoria and Johannesburg will be announced by the department on Monday.
Gee I haven't heard of this new bus scheme, have you??? Btw where are these steal-o-ramas (sorry I mean car parks)?
A new toll system is also to be established on the major Gauteng roads.
Oh goody, we're about to be fleeced again.

"We are going to toll as part of the freeway improvement plan," said Jacobs.
So where exactly has transport money been going for the last 12 years???

Jacobs said there would be an increased "roll-out of metro police on the roads" to assist commuters on how to operate the dedicated lane but that their purpose was not to hand out fines.

Somehow I have trouble believing this, I mean how much assistance do you need to "operate" a lane. :D Ok granted some people probably do need quite a bit, but they did before this too and nothing was done then.
