Hi all,

A quick (hopefully) question:

What would be the easiest/safest way to carry cash in Thailand? Going there for a week in November and trying to find out how to take cash with...

Or should I rely on my Visa credit card and Thai atms?

Thanks :)

As above took a small amount of cash and then just used my virgin credit card to draw money from the ATMs over there. Just let your bank know you are going over to Thailand so they can authorize the card for that region for that period of time

Through virgin credit card you only pay R14.00 per ATM transaction anywhere in the world

R50 to withdraw any amount on fnb from atm using my debit card. Best to withdraw lots at a time, in Thailand cash is king

If you are going with someone and have two cards or cards that are linked, give your other card to the other person to keep. I did this with my wife in case my wallet gets stolen I still had access to the other card.
