There is a difference. If the IDF indiscriminately launched 1000's of rockets indiscriminately like Hamas did, I would slate them equally. Just as there are innocent Palestinians, there are innocent people in Jerusalem. The difference is Hamas is trying to use innocents as a shield, the IDF is bending over backwards, playing by 'some rules' trying to minimize casualties. Hamas does not care., yet observe no rules. Further the IDF have a right - no, a responsibility - to retaliate in defense. We see some neat tricks they used to prevent unnecessary fallout.

Hamas has taken that war into populated areas, no the IDF. Of course could try whitewash Hamas with a lot of IDF bad history, but then Hamas deserves more bad credit. But it's a war. Innocents die in war. It's not pretty, yet as per your own figures 60% support Hamas. This is why I hate extremism. Hamas is trying to do a 'don't you hit me' while shielding behind innocents.
