A separate failure of our government in and of itself....we literally have a ****ing Lion sanctuary just outside Cape Town.
That's a poor excuse from them... the point of these lion sanctuaries is that they care for animals that can't be rehabilitated. Unless they can say that they contacted every sanctuary in SA and none of them were able to take this animal.Yep, and according to the news report i heard on 90.4 FM "they didnt think it was possible for the cub to be rehabilitated as it has been in contact with people and that it wouldnt survive in the wild"
Really hope they are taken to task on this and whomever made the call should be fired at least.
