I've been toying with that idea for a while. Mostly for the same reason that the author of the article alleges Tomas Hawk does.

My reason is pretty simple - I've got access to events the agency I work for either don't want coverage for or have someone else covering. I've worked for other organisations on occasion, and the agency I work for say they don't mind but I'd rather not step on too many toes.
