As of late not a day goes by where Trump isn't in the news. I suspect this is intentional on the part of Trump, and it's working.

He just needs to do what he should have done from the beginning - use his official POTUS account for presidential announcements and reserve RealDonaldTrump for his usual performative rants, conspiracy theories, retweeting racist videos, feuding with celebrities, screaming about his innocence, and lying.
I think that already happens, except every post he makes falls under your “rants, conspiracy theories, retweeting racist videos, feuding with celebrities, screaming about his innocence, and lying” so the POTUS account would still be ignored .

He effectively did. Got the UK ambassador to the US (a political establishment stooge who loved Clinton and a huge Europhile) to resign today for his stupidity for writing down his thoughts on the US president, making a working relationship with the US impossible.

As the Spectator points out:

Intellects like Sir Kim’s are slower than those of ordinary mortals to spot Trump’s communicative genius. They cannot see that it keeps him ahead of the game. It is really remarkable that a 73-year-old man can be such a master of forms of social media which did not exist until his sixth and in some cases his seventh decade.

He looked like a proper snowflake there.

What was the ambassador meant to do? Tell his own government lies?

That's literally his job - to give his honest and frank assessment to the UK Government, which he did. You want ambassadors that are sycophants instead? What do you think the UK ambassador to SA tells them?

I like that you're being more clear that the 'sovereignty' you're after through Brexit actually means Trump dictates to BoJo what he should be doing, though. ;)

Performative bootlicking isn't a great look, but then again it's the Spectator, so it's expected.

Maybe, if they use their accounts for government business. Fishing for votes on Twitter is probably not official government business, which is what Trump uses his account for. Making his account the platform on which matters of government policy is announced means he may not legally exclude Americans from viewing or commenting on such announcement.
Do you really believe they use it for anything else?

So for doing his job as he is supposed to ? Every ambassador is supposed to write critical briefings as honestly and objectively as they can for their home governments . Whoever leaked the briefings did it against the best interests of England .
