For some it's less about Trump and more about the hypocrisy of the empty pot detractors.

Democrats will be the ones to blame if Trump is elected again. Democrats talk more about Trump than anyone else.

There is a clear distinction between state and federal authority in the US. Biden has squat influence on a state. Trump is being prosecuted by the state and not the feds and the witnesses are Republicans.

The actions of Trump are no different to that of Idi Admin. Only scary difference is that Trump had nuclear weapons.

And the democrats are feeding the trolls. CNN existed almost exclusively to keep Trump's name in the public's heads. That was a fail of note.
They are to blame for him being a martyr to some. It's not enough to let him disappear into obscurity as a story that would be laughed at by future generations... no, they want to make a martyr of him. That's arrogance.

It all has to do with fact that some Yanks like a Nazi. But yeah blame their prejudice on someone else. It then justifies in your mind why Trump has the privilege to break the law.
