To all the techies / Admins etc
Which brands are you guys using in your Office / Home ?
I have been tasked with finding some more reliable brands than what we are currently using.. dismal failure rate to say the least (we've been having quite a few power surge / outages lately, whch caused failure of a "few" UPS's)

I've got a variety of 1KVA brands installed, none of them are "cheapos" and all use 2 x 12volt 7AH batteries. I've found from bitter experience that after 2 years you should replace the batteries to be sure they'll deliver the expected run time when needed.

Best solution if it suits your site requirements is a deep cycle battery(ies)/inverter combo.

We also use APC here. Worked flawlessly every time we've had power cuts.

APC only, or my preference would be for a stand-alone pure sinewave inverter/charger and battery bank.
