Hi guys, i am new to crypto. I am trying to send someone the USD100 equivalent in USDT. I setup an account with Binance, but it does not want to accept my Capitec card. Are there other exchange options that would take a Capitec debit card which is a Mastercard?

thanks
J

Luno will take an eft don't know if they do card transactions , not sure if you can buy usdt with ZAR or if you will have to traverse another coin

Valr may also do not up to date on which all do and which protocol they use for usdt transfers

The usdt can be sent via ethereum erc20 on luno i believe

You can't use SA cards on international exchanges. Go with VALR. If you don't have an account yet let me know and I'll send you a referral code (which gives you rebate on some fees).

open VALR, buy XRP as it's cheap on fees
others are cheap like, Solana / Avax etc etc, just check them up.
The most expensive is Ethereum in gas fees

send XRP / Solana / Avax to Binance if that's what you want? Otherwise just leave it in VALR

I'm sure Luno is the same

Just do it all with Luno, supports any payment method really.

But also make sure you are sending this money to a real person with real intentions.

it's not the exchanges btw, it is Capitec blocking the transaction

you can try phoning them and giving them an earful for limiting what you can do with your own money ... or just use an exchange that they do not block

generally ZA banks are a bit less anal with ZA crypto exchanges especially now that they are licensed and what not, overseas exchanges are typically not licensed in ZA and the bank would rather not deal with any headaches from SARB when it comes sniffing around with exchange controls being circumvented

Sounds like VALR might be your best bet for the Capitec issue easier to work with local exchanges and avoid the card hassles.

I have added ZAR into Valr. Do I now buy USDT ? and then how do I send to TRC20?
I highly recommend you read the guide on valr.

Crypto is all about responsibility everything you need to know is there.

The tldr is buy usdt on valr send using tron network. Dbl check wallets.

You don't send to trc20

You own usdt and send usdt

While using the tron(trc20)/ eth(erc20) etc as the system that has to process the transaction

Kinda like you withdraw Rands via another ATM using saswitch system

Trc20/ erc20 smart contracts is just the facilitator
