It is expected, after all they (ANC) did promise free electricity
It's unfortunately impossible to provide free services in perpetuity to the majority of a population.

Either the populous has that expectation managed or the government stresses the infrastructure and economy into collapse. There is no other option.

Strange No bragging on the twitter feed...
Townships and informal settlements are disconnected all the time so it is no longer news, unlike the Sheraton and all the big businesses being disconnected.

Oh yeah, what happened there? Hotel failed to do due diligence and pay its municipal bill? Or have somebody pocketed the money instead?

This is the policy at a lot of companies and the real reason is that the toiler paper is being looted on a daily basis to be resold when supplied by the employer.

Is it not safely locked away in those dispensing things?

It's not the time to fix it that I'm concerned about, it's the riots that will happen when you cut the free electricity. That needs to be managed and contained.
Indeed.

Those who promised free electricity should also be taken to task for their "promises".

If your employees need to loot and resell toilet payer in order to subsidize their income you have bigger problems.

"Olivier emphasised that the Denel Lyttelton campus should have been handled differently from other facilities because it is a National Key Point (NKP).

“It’s all well and good to say you treat all customers the same without fear or favour, but objectively speaking, this isn’t the same type of facility as a shopping mall,” Oliver said.

Cutting electricity to the facility could have created a national security risk."

How is that the municipalities responsibility? Seems like Denel leadership should all be fired for putting a NKP at risk no?

This.

Fire the entire lot as they put the country at risk.

And we'll fcking done to the City of Pretoria

Agree. Blame shifting to deflect from their failures. It's not City of Tshwanes responsibility to pay Denels bills.
