So today was Tshwanes own little car free day, maybe they should fix their buses first before they come up with stupid ideas like this. I frequently see broken down buses as I drive around the city. The drivers are rude and they sometimes drive even faster and more reckless than the worse taxi driver  They've been talking about new buses for 5 years now, not one has been delivered. This is what you get for having a ANC government, and you have to consider, this is one of the best run ANC municipalities...

By far one of the best run munis.

Eish, car free day in PTA??? There is really not much of an alternative... It takes more tha twice as long to ride on the busses than it takes in your own car.
The bus service has deteriorated the last few years...
'ts sad, because, if I could use public transport, I would, petrol is setting me back quite a few bucks monthly....

Yep, AFAIK there is no such PLACE. I've heard that a group of semi-compotent people refer to themselves by this name though... :)

LMAO, on the same day as the taxi protest. Coming down Atterbury from Menlo, saw them going in the opposite direction into town, 5 deep across all lanes, at about 15km/h. Atterbury already a mess.

Aaahhh, Tuks I went there way back when standards were still high! Soooo, is Tshwane the name of a new commune, or maybe a new drinking spot? It sounds like a name someone grabbed out of the air after a night of heavy drinking? That makes me wonder, why a car free day in Tshwane? Is this a "buddy" inniciative to prevent drunken students driving home? Students these days have too much money anyway......
