Major chip manufacturer hits R18 trillion in value

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing briefly surpassed $1 trillion in market capitalization after Morgan Stanley joined a list of brokers boosting price targets on the chipmaker before its earnings.

TSMC ADRs shares jumped as much as 4.8%, to touch the milestone just after the opening bell in New York on Monday, taking its share price increase this year to more than 80%.

Amazing how people will pay so much for a semiconductor, but you try to sell them a real conductor and they say "why would I pay that much for some paper clips?"

Still only a third of what APPLE is valued at.
Another useless headline.

The M3 series is Apple's first 3 nm design for desktops and notebooks. It is manufactured by TSMC.

Just saying
And Foxconn manufactures iPhones and the cook at McDonalds manufactures Big Macs… what’s your point?

PS, while people are distracted by TSMC, I am buying Intel. It’s a gamble but the potential win is huge.

Without the lesser valued companies than Apple that every iPhone fan can't do without you would have no Apple corporation that makes insane profits on OK'ish phones for what they charge you for it.
