Turns out people want the USA "world police" after all.....

I'm sure Macron and Merkel will step in.
I'm surprised that they don't want to take their ISIS fighters back. Very surprised.

The EU will be very upset with the US taxpayers not wanting to foot the bill for those 60 000+ ISIS prisoners from Europe.

Agreed.

Yet there is still a risk and for me the risk outweighs the reward.

What is the point of stockpiling 50 nukes in Turkey?

If Turkey cause kuk, there may be some accidents.

Yes we were told Merkel and her pet Macron were the new leaders of the free world.

And there is the role model Jacinda Ardern.
I think I know where she can get some more refugees.

This is going to work out just fine.

I can't argue that.
:) 2 of my overweight Afrikaner friends got jobs there last month, they're not rich yet.
So that makes it around 50 people I know who have moved there.

So I am confused.

The US sending troops to Saudi to protect oilfields is good.

Removing troops used to provide a bulwark against ISIS (a significant point in Trump's election manifesto) and the spread of terrorism into Europe and afar is bad.

Not give them nuclear tech and weapons.

You mean sell them. Saudi Arabia at least bothers to pay for weapons, unlike *cough* Israel *cough*.

Now technically, the Trumpenfuherer could block the weapon sales, but that would be kinda awkward for all the people who are complaining about Trump's trade war, because weapons and oil are after all, items of trade.

Good thinking.
Rather let China and Russia supply the middle east with weapons.
Because they don't have nuclear tech.

Rofl, i love how you switch between realpolitik and morals. Which one is it Pegasus?

Well Israel is whole different kettle of fish, personally i dont mind the US selling weapons. Im just debunking the nonsense that the US doesn't pay for regimes in the ME under Trump. The cost from Saudi comes in the form of a political and military one.

I will say though, in comparison to other US presidents hes been pretty good with not going to war etc.

How is letting China and Russia get a few 100 billion in trade deals going to help your morals?

Its not thats why you are now adopting a realpolitik approach but just a few posts back you werent, so i ask again, which one is it?

Slim pickings for the poor liberals at the moment. Arden and the 16 year old climate kid. To think not that long ago it was Erdogan and his one time good pal Obama

Mr. Obama believed that Mr. Erdogan, who had risen in politics as a reformer, “was going to show that you could be democratic and Islamist at the same time,” Mr. Gordon said. “He had a lot of faith in Erdogan; he invested in the relationship.”

Mr. Erdogan, analysts said, had a similar faith in Mr. Obama. He viewed him as a different kind of American leader, one who would not prize relations with Israel and Saudi Arabia above all other countries in the region. Mr. Erdogan was also eager to flex Turkey’s muscles, and Mr. Obama seemed receptive. In 2011, the president spoke more frequently with Mr. Erdogan than with any other foreign leader except Prime Minister David Cameron of Britain.

Trump and Ivanka admire Erdogan. They were very grateful to him when he approved a Trump Hotel in Istanbul.
