Trump and Ivanka admire Erdogan. They were very grateful to him when he approved a Trump Hotel in Istanbul.

Back in 2012. And they'll have ties before then too.
So that shows us that he has a cordial relationship with Erdogan and trusts him to do the right thing.

They are a NATO country after all, and all other NATO countries will support him.

So Obama having cordial relations with Erdogan is bad, but Trump good?

Agreed.

Yet there is still a risk and for me the risk outweighs the reward.

What is the point of stockpiling 50 nukes in Turkey?

Geographic dispersion. If something disastrous was gonna happen, they can still strike back using different stockpiles. They have other stockpiles dispersed all over the world.

These things are closely guarded and if something were to happen that compromises that, I don't doubt for even a second that they'll level the facility instead of letting those nukes get into the hands of a bad actor.

Or, /tinfoil hat on, this is all part of a grand scheme where the nukes get stolen and trump suddenly becomes pensive and doesn't want to strike until the bad actors have moved the weapons..

Turns out people want the USA "world police" after all.....

You forget the part where ISIS is a consequence of US actions in Iraq over a decade ago.

If the US wants to roll in to countries, topple regimes, fight proxy wars and generally fvck the place up, they should be expected to handle the aftermath responsibly.

And this is said by somebody that would rather have the US taking the lead than China/Russia/Iran.

This guy is really interesting to listen to, I've never heard of him before.
I wasn't expecting that from an occultist / hippie / gardener.
He is a holocaust denier. Tries to deny it now.

Ah, but that was Bush - he's Alan's guy, so no problems there.

Somehow this oaf just gets worse...

"In response to a question about the threat facing America’s Kurdish allies now that Turkey had launched a military operation in northern Syria, Trump blamed them for not assisting in World War II.

Asked about Islamic State fighters potentially escaping amid Turkey’s military operation in northern Syria, Trump said: “Well, they’re going to be escaping to Europe. That’s where they want to go; they want to go back to their homes, but Europe didn’t want them from us.”

Many countries had actions in other countries, but is the emerging threat inspired by the US?

If the Iraqis were Jainists, would ISIS, Al Qaeda, Boko Haram,Taliban, Al Shabab, Hezbollah, Hamas exist?
