Good.

Hopefully this makes others at other stations take note and either stop their thieving (yeah right, I know).

I also hope that honest employees at other stations will now see that there can be action taken and anonymously spill the beans on similar scams and criminal rings.

I also hope that those who collude to sabotage equipment are blacklisted from supplying to all SOEs. (Yes, I live in perpetual hope that good will overcome evil).

Eskom's criminal millionaires — three employees arrested and 20 suspended at Tutuka

Eskom has suspended 20 employees relating to theft and collusion at its Tutuka power station following the theft of R1.3 billion in spares at the plant during the 2020/21 financial year.

In addition, three employees were arrested and are facing criminal charges following the discovery of the criminal syndicate.
Must be that racist De Ruyter up to his old shenanigans again.

Fire him immediately!

Firing is insufficient in my eyes. Leaders and cronies alike should be behind bars or swinging from the rafters.

These guys probably made the mistake of not cutting in senior management, which is why they got arrested.

Could well be yes. Greed leads them to overreach and someone somewhere gets pissed off for not getting their share.

Whatever the reasons, "Good". Get them out of Eskom and into jail and let there be many many more caught and removed.

Just make sure it is not merely one criminal enterprise ousting another to take over their place at the feeding trough.

I am also an Eskom customer back home in the village, I know it sounds unreal but I have had nothing but the best service from the Eskom call centre, I don't ever remember falling asleep waiting for them to answer the phone, it is always prompt and the people are helpful. City Power I way worse than Eskom in my experience, I don't ever remember getting through on the phone.

It is Eskom's technical department that is a problem, absolutely no monitoring happens there, the tech just close the refs without attending to them and it doesn't seem like there are any consequences for that.

With 1.3 billion in the kitty, I doubt very much anything will happen, it's the NPA we're talking about here, they'll drag it out for 25 years. The horse has already bolted out the stable. That 1.3 billion would cover my R2500 pm elec bill for 43333 years.
