TV licence catastrophe and a looming SABC financial crisis

"There is a lack of urgency from the government to help South Africa's public broadcaster out of a looming financial crisis."

WTF, the ANC is to blame for this and how many bailouts do you need to become financial sorted. Fokoff and die!

What content does the SABC provide? Just a question. My understanding is that they Government funded, so it will benefit the ruling party.

The only safe free entertainment for the zulus and xhosas. Without these sitcoms the people will get lonely and go outside and do nasty things. Stop thinking about yourself only. Rude+

Why should anybody pay to watch that DRIVEL.

PLEASE CLOSE DOWN ALREADY.

i went full retard and paid the R530 (2y) they demanded. Next day they (MBD debt collectors) started phoning me demanding another R265. The day after it increased to R530 again and is now R1325 b/c of penalties. How?
I get a call every morning at around 8am from MBD, every time a different number, each number blocked. Guess i am only buying 2nd hand tv's from now on...

Its quite simple

Just setup for DSTV easy view. You pay to view SABC as simple as that. If you dont watch it, you dont pay. The same with their web subscribers. Pay R260 for the year, or so. You can only watch if you paid. That would quickly generate them some income.

They are heavily fishing where I work and stay, trying any and everything to send me the bill.
