Yeah he did say they are going to keep what works and change that which doesnt.
Those leaving are the ones that dont work. They've been pulling their company into the ground.

There are so many jobs to go around in tech, they will just go over to Meta. Oh, wait...

It's always supply/demand if these don't want to work, others will come. Capitalism baby.

This dude is panicking cause he needs to make at least $1 billion per year to pay back the loans

He's paranoid that Twitter employees will sabotage his efforts to do that, so he throws a tantrum and goes boss hog.

Which only results in him sabotaging himself ..... it's a shitshow for all to see

Even though Tech jobs are being shed by the big boys, there's plenty of start-ups looking for experienced people to help them get capital

Why doesn't he just outsource to China?

Bro, Abraham Lincoln would be considered woke for ending slavery....
He'd be considered extreme left-wing today. Eisenhower would be called a communist by modern Republicans.

Yeah he did say they are going to keep what works and change that which doesnt.

Much more likely they're the ones who have plenty of options. In other words their best people.

There always been reports of him being a terrible leader and manager, now that he is clashing with employees at a social media company it all out in the open
I also suspect that Tesla attracts people because there is a certain prestige and perhaps top-notch experience to be gained there. Is anyone clamouring to get Twitter on their resume?

If that is what it takes, sure. Elon has never complained about doing hard work, or having too much work.
Yeah, Musk can totally do the work of 7500 employees by himself. He's super skilled in every single department, as his stellar success running Twitter so far has shown.

Strawman.

He does have high energy levels, and he sets a cracking pace.

This is the best entertainment in years. And the first time I've actually bothered to go onto twitter in it's existence. Just to see what's going on.

Since this is a tech forum. How many people can you possibly need to operate twitter? I reckon 20 or so developers, maybe a 100 or so infrastructure/server guys and then a handful of admin staff to handle the other stuff.

Not just start-ups. All those cuts mentioned, even if they are all IT jobs, are not enough to even counter the persistent shortage. Furthermore if Twitter develops a bad reputation as an employer they'll struggle to pull in new employees. Some companies can get away with abusive practices because people really want to work for them or in that particular segment of the industry.

Much more likely? Really? Based on what?

The people leaving now, are the people you wouldnt want in your company when the **** gets going.
Doesnt matter whether they had options or not.
The ones staying are in for the fight, the ones that are leaving has their tails between their legs.

Many companies ask their employees to put in hectic hours at times. Ive seen it happen.
The ones that leave, are the ones that cant cut it.
The ones that stay, could yes not have options to leave, or has passion for their job.
The passion ones are who he wants. The ones leaving is not the employees he wants or needs.

7500 people's worth of energy levels

And that's without overseeing Tesla or SpaceX or spending time with any of the 42 children he had incubated.

That's why I created an account last week.. to see how this plays out...
Also they made it a bit difficult to keep tabs on Poeskom, so with the scraper I am working on, not having a Twatter account is a bit limiting.

Definitely panic stations at Twitter, and mostly because there is united cause and action. Been amazing to see those Twitter users popping up on Mastodon, and once they've tried something different, realising there are actually better options out there. But a big wake up is coming for advertisers used to buying a space in someone's feed. Times are changing.
