Can't he get in legal trouble suggesting staff should work 80 hours a week?

A employee contract is a agreement between employees and employers not a "they ask you anything or fire you agreement."
Oh you silly child.. they're in AMERICA... you forgot they have no labour laws there, unlike the ones you enjoy in SA

But all most Twitter staff do is arrive at work, do Yoga, have free breakfast at the canteen, go cry in the cry corner, do more yoga, have free lunch and then call it a day because working at Twitter is hard.

SA is exceptionally progressive workwise

Paid leave, unions and other worker-focused labour legislation is an exception, not the norm

Yeah yeah just kinda laughing at the “hardcore okes” here thinking clocking in 16 hour shifts everyday is somehow acceptable.

I’d love seeing these “hard working individuals” after 2 weeks of that.

I am more intrigued by this hivemind-mentality induced by media and their social media cohorts than Twitter allegedly shutting down as everyone is being led to believe. It is so odd, even I have been pushed aside, more so to the other side, because I made a 'pro-Musk' remark.

This is a good, strong case to make a social study. Not too many are willing to make an unpopular view in public, it would be, almost, akin to career suicide.

Its a case study for sure. Musk himself is divisive, he's got a lot of pro's and con's that he brings to business and humanity.
I'm feeling more of the con's lately though.

But SpaceX is cool at least.

How is it not a positive? He now gets to hand-pick every single staff member, and he is no stranger to start-up mode. Skilled and talented young people will be breaking the doors down to get a job at twitter.

All he needs to do is a full-blown deep sanitisation of the offices first.

The real positive would be the complete destruction of Twatter...

He's kinda snowballed that though

Funny though, I have seen this management style in SA, particularly within the more conservative business culture. I agree with you, but I also think that the public is too quick to reveal their social gallows though they are spurred on.
