You can’t say for sure that he didn’t want any violence.
Yes I can.

And how would he know that a small fraction would turn violent when all his mass rallies were peaceful?

There's evidence that some of those who stormed the Capitol planned it way in advance and they came prepared. Chances are they weren't even in the crowd during the speech and only arrived afterwards because of how they were geared up. They were gonna do something no matter what Trump said.

Read an early report somewhere that those with riot gear arrived in a bus just before the riot. They didn't march with the crowd.

Oh didn't know you know Trump personally, and your were there.

Please can you tell us what you guys discussed in private.
Like you guys saying he definitely 100% absolutely wanted violence?

Trump called for a peaceful protest.

He called for a peaceful protest. During the riot he said they have to stop and go home because they have to have peace.

And the Gloria bit is completely false. They danced to Gloria BEFORE the speech. BEFORE he even went on stage for the first time.

Thanks for correcting me about the family. But the rest of what I said is true, especially his complete inaction as president to stop the rioting once it started. He should have called the national guard immediately, instead he just watched it unfold and gloated.

As for telling them to go home, that speech was disgusting. He doesn't get credit for paying lip service to peace while continuing to push the narrative that the election was stolen and making it clear that he was on their side and he loved them. He totally justified their actions in a tweet as well:

These are the things and events that happen when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously & viciously stripped away from great patriots who have been badly & unfairly treated for so long... Go home with love & in peace. Remember this day forever!

“We four schemed up of putting maximum pressure on Congress while they were voting,” Mr. Alexander said in a since-deleted video, “so that who we couldn’t rally, we could change the hearts and the minds of Republicans who were in that body, hearing our loud roar from outside.”

Sounds like he had no intention of going into the capitol.

Dust is still in the air, lots of hearsay

So peaceful...

Yes the only violence was apparently from a violent protester :p

He's said similar things at some of his other rallies. Like when a troll with a KKK shirt interrupted one of his speeches

Entire speech was like listening to JZ. Lie after lie after lie. I often see posts here accusing Julius of being behind certain crimes because of what he advocates in public. If people don't see similarities, then they're hypocrites.

But does this go both ways then?

The people that say Malema is just a clown and hot air, will they start taking his rhetoric seriously then?

When he says (white) protesters are terrorists and threats to democracy and deploys his fighters to confront them, is he not threatening our democracy (freedom to gather and protest) and inciting violence?

There are forumites who are perfectly happy to see Trump punished for inciting violence but then ignore or excuse Malema's behaviour.

You can't call BS one side and then go full Stevie Wonder when the other side does the same.

So Uganda blocked Twitter, and their response is :

Twitter:
Ahead of the Ugandan election, we're hearing reports that Internet service providers are being ordered to block social media and messaging apps.

We strongly condemn internet shutdowns – they are hugely harmful, violate basic human rights and the principles of the #OpenInternet."

Hypocrite much? :)

Wow, YouTube suspends for 7 days:
"After review, and in light of concerns about the ongoing potential for violence, we removed new content uploaded to Donald J Trump's channel for violating our policies," it said in a statement.

"It now has its first strike and is temporarily prevented from uploading new content for a minimum of seven days.

"Given the ongoing concerns about violence, we will also be indefinitely disabling comments on President Trump's channel, as we've done to other channels where there are safety concerns found in the comments section."

Everyone on the 'good guys' list should be thoroughly investigated

Federal prosecutors submitted chilling new evidence in their case against Capitol siege suspect Lonnie Coffman on Tuesday, including a list the protester had in his possession naming "good guys" and "bad guys," including the names of a federal judge and a House lawmaker.

And this; where in the hell did they get personal contact information for Ted Cruz???

A separate handwritten note was found in the back of a magazine in Coffman's truck that contained "purported contact information" for talk show host Mark Levin, Fox News' Sean Hannity and Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, prosecutors said.
